Biography
Bipasha Choudhury M.B.Ch.B., Ph.D (medical education)
I graduated with a degree in medical sciences from the University of St. Andrews before graduating with a medical degree from the University of Manchester. I then worked in a variety of hospitals in the Northwest in acute medicine, colorectal surgery and orthopaedics. I moved into teaching 20 years ago and completed my PhD in medical education on the anatomical student experience.
I am a Reader in Anatomy, providing leadership within the school of medical sciences for anatomy teaching to medical, dental, science and allied health professional students. I am a persons designated under the Human Tissues Act 2004. My passion for pedagogy is served by acting as deputy programme director and lead for assessments for the post graduate certificate in medical and health education.
I am the meetings secretary for the British Association of Clinical Anatomists (BACA). I am the BACA representative for both the Anatomical Society and the Anatomy Associations Advisory Committee. My first children's anatomy book was published in September 2017 and since then I have authored several more.
