Personal profile

Biography

I joined the University of Manchester in June 2021 to work in the project updating the organ damage assessment in lupus. I work as a Postdoctoral Research Associate and concurrently hold a part-time Research Associate in Evidence Synthesis position at the University of Sheffield.

With a background as a physiotherapist, my clinical experience in rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases in Türkiye provided the cornerstone for my subsequent academic journey. Prior to my current roles, I worked as a research assistant in the Epidemiology and Public Health Department at the University of Nottingham. Subsequently, I undertook the role of a systematic reviewer at the Institute of Cancer and Genomic Sciences at the University of Birmingham.

Research interests

My research interests focus on all methods of systematic review, and evidence synthesis including conventional and network meta-analysis, predominantly within the field of rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases. Additionally, I have a specific interest in Delphi exercises, patient and public involvement as well as the development and evaluation of complex intervention packages and outcome measurement scales.
