Supporting research in the Laser Processing Research Laboratory (LPRL) and Manufacturing Technology Research Laboratory (MTRL).

Background in electrical engineering with skills in design and fabrication for electrical, mechanical and optical systems. 

Large breadth of experience in the use of high power and ultra short pulse lasers for material modification (surface texturing, cutting, joining, drilling, heat treatment, etc.)

Recent work has focussed on high power laser processing using a spatial light modulator (SLM), high speed imaging for studies into laser material interactions, and developing manufacturing processes for scalable organic photovoltaic cells.
