Personal profile

Overview

I am a Lecturer in Marketing at Alliance Manchester Business School, where I aIso completed my PhD titled 'Democratising care: How young people practice and negotiate care in informal peer-to-peer support. I hold a Masters degree in Marketing from Durham University and an undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Warwick.

My current research uses netnography and visual methods to explore young peoples' social support for mental health and wellbeing, particularly in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Alongside my academic work, I'm also heavily involved in the widening participation (WP) agenda at the University of Manchester, having worked as a WP Fellow and tutor on the Manchester Access Programme (MAP) for the last 5 years.
