Overview

I am a Cancer Research UK-funded PhD student in the lab of Dr Andrew Gilmore.

Previously I have undertaken a Medical Research Council-funded internship studying cell signalling in hair follicles in response to chemotherapy. This was within The University of Manchester Centre for Dermatology Research.

My MSci project involved assessing if certain drugs/compounds could offer protection in a cellular model of acute pancreatitis.

Alongside research, I am very interested in widening participation, teaching and learning.
