Overview

Varun is currently a Lecturer in Strategic Management at Cardiff Metropolitan University. He is also an honorary Lecturer (T&R) in the Innovation Management & Policy division at AMBS and an active member of Manchester Institute of Innovation Research (MIoIR). His research investigates how imitation plays a role in developing innovation capabilities especially in firms from developing countries. Prior to joining Alliance Manchester Business School, he was a researcher at the prestigious John H. Dunning Centre for International Business, Henley Business School, the University of Reading where he was engaged in research related to the internationalisation of emerging market multinationals. He has had extensive corporate experience in manufacturing, business process outsourcing (BPO), and real estate research and consultancy. Varun holds BSc in Botany (Gorakhpur University, India), MSc in International Business (University of Birmingham), and PhD in Business & Management (University of Manchester).
