Personal profile

Overview

Chris is a Research Associate working on uncertainty quantification in compressible and reactive turbulent flows.

He gained his PhD from Newcastle University on mathematical modelling of disperse particle transport in turbulent flows. Since then he has completed postdoctoral appointments at the University of Brighton on numerical modelling for spray simulations, and Iowa State University on numerical methods for polydisperse particle transport.

Chris' research interests span modelling of particle-laden and turbulent systems, with a focus on PDF modelling, turbulent closure model development, numerical methods, and uncertainty quantification. These are applied in the areas of aerosol dispersion, spray breakup, proppant pipeline transport, and biofuel combustion.
