Personal profile
Biography
I am an Associate Professor in Management Accounting. I completed my PhD studies at AMBS, hold an MSc in Economics from the University of Warwick, and a BSc in Business Administration from the University of Macedonia (Thessaloniki, Greece). Prior to joining the Accounting & Finance division, I was a Research Associate on a patient-level costing project, funded by the National Institute for Health Research.
My interdisciplinary research agenda focuses on the areas of performance measurement, digital technologies, strategy and healthcare. My research has been published in Organization Studies, the British Accounting Review, Accounting, Auditing & Accountability Journal, Critical Perspectives on Accounting, Technological Forecasting & Social Change, Public Money & Management, among others. My ongoing work emphasizes digital transformation and technology diffusion in healthcare, digital transformation in Higher Education, the value of digital innovations with inherent uncertainties, and calculative practices in healthcare provision and organization studies.
I act as an editorial board member of the British Accounting Review, Accounting, Auditing and Accountability Journal, and the Journal of Public Budgeting, Accounting & Financial Management.
I am a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and teach on both postgraduate and undergraduate levels, on several courses in management accounting and research methods.
