Teaching

Teaching duties previously included all aspects of prosthetic dentistry, together with a major commitment to the teaching of Clinical Practice (a restorative integrated treatment clinic). Considerable use was made of Computer Aided Learning techniques, Evidence Based Techniques and small group teaching.
Postgraduate teaching duties were previously based on a course that was run throughout the country by a team of five from the department as well as individually run postgraduate courses in several aspects of Restorative care. I also taught extensively on the Midlands MGDS course.

I have had a major input into junior staff training and specialist registrar training in Restorative Dentistry and was previously Training Programme Director for Restorative Trainees and programme lead for all Senior House Officers in the region before taking up the post of Associate Postrgaduate Dental Dean in charge of Specialist Training. My current teaching involves a postgraduate teaching session.
