Biography

Dr Craig Skerritt is a Lecturer in Education at the Manchester Institute of Education (MIE), University of Manchester. He teaches on a variety of course units on MA programmes: Contemporary Issues in Education Leadership; Education Policy; Educational Research and Design; Engaging with Education Research; Engaging with Research in Educational Leadership.

An active researcher in policy, leadership, and sociology, Dr Skerritt is a member of the Critical Education Leadership and Policy (CELP) research group at MIE. His work has been published in a wide range of leading peer-reviewed journals such as: British Journal of Educational Studies; British Journal of Sociology of Education; Education Policy Analysis Archives; International Journal of Leadership in EducationInternational Studies in Sociology of Education; Journal of Education Policy; Journal of Educational Administration and History; Oxford Review of Education; Pedagogy, Culture & Society; and Research Papers in Education.

Dr Skerritt is also a Convenor of the British Educational Research Association's Educational Research and Educational Policy-Making Special Interest Group.
