I am a Lecturer in Environmental Economics at the Global Development Institute of the University of Manchester.
I am an environmental economists with interests in health, development, behavioral and climate change economics. My work seeks to provide policy insights for balancing economic development with protection of human health and the environment. Most of my work has focused on the effects of air pollution on health. As air pollution is a growing problem in developing and emerging economies I believe that policy efforts to reduce air pollution should be backed by solid evidence-based analysis. To this end, I conduct applied empirical analysis employing both observational data and econometric techniques as well as by collecting primary data while conducting field-based Randomized Controlled Trials (RCTs).
Empirical microeconomics with applications to environment, development, health, climate and behavioral science.
Regression analysis and Randomised Controlled Trials (RCTs) for causal inference.
