Biography
Dalil Alshammari is a third-year PhD researcher in dental health science. Along with a postgraduate certificate in medical and health education. In 2018, she got her bachelor's degree in dental medicine and surgery from the University of Hai'l, Saudi Arabia. She Also accomplished a master's degree in dental public health from the University of Sheffield in 2020. Alshammari is currently a lecturer at the University of Hai’l, where she started as a teaching assistant in (2018).In addition, she worked part-time as a teaching assistant at the University of Manchester in the psychology and mental health division and dentistry division.
Research interests
- Promoting children's oral health using a multidisciplinary approach (dentistry, behavioural science and health psychology).
- Health care communication and facilitating the communication between dentists and families in regards to children's oral health.
- Designing and developing behaviour change intervention, especially digital intervention.
- Teledentistry.
- Helath eduaction (interprofessional eduaction, assessments)

PhD project:
Her PhD project explores opportunities of providing behaviour change conversations to improve children's oral health in non-dental settings (Early years childhood settings).
