A registered pharmacist and fourth year PhD student, Daniel combines research, teaching and clinical practice. His primary interests include the role and impact of pharmacist practitioners in emergency care and other settings; novel research communication and teaching methods; and clinical trial methodology (statistics).
Dr Greenwood is Honorary Lecturer in Pharmacy in the Divsion of Pharmacy and Optometry. He graduated with a First Class MPharm degree from the University of Manchester in 2014, completing his PhD in the same department in 2020. With experience in community, hospital and industry pharmacy, he took up post as Senior Lecturer in Clinical Pharmacy at the new Anglia Ruskin School of Medicine in September 2019. There, he is academic lead for third year and therapeutics and prescribing education. Aside from teaching, he continues to pursue research interests in pharmacy practice and medicines use, partcularly in urgent and emergency care, but also medical and pharmacy education. He is also a member of the Accreditation and Recognition Panel of the General Pharmaceutical Council.
Perhaps his proudest moment to date, in July 2018 Dr Greenwood was one of of six UK pharmacists invited by the Prime Minister to celebrate the NHS' 70th Birthday at 10 Downing Street.
