Overview

I am an accelerator physicist with reaserch interest in design, commissioning and operation of particle accelerators. My particular area of interest is generation and tailoring of high-brightness electron beams for novel applications.

I have more than 35 years of experience in the field of accelerator physics. During this time, I have contributed to design and commissioning of several light source projects, collective effects in LHC and global design effort for International Linear Collider. I currently lead the Compact Linear Accelerator for Research and Applications (CLARA) facility at Daresbury Laboratory and lead user exploitation programme. I am a member of the UK XFEL leadership team and responsible for engaging with European XFEL and DESY.
