Diāna Bērziņa is a Leverhulme Early Career Fellow based in the department of Criminology at the University of Manchester. She is an interdisciplinary researcher, holding PhD in Criminology from Maastricht University, MSc in Criminology from the University of Glasgow, and MA in Archaeology-History from the University of Aberdeen.
Diāna Bērziņa is a Principal Investigator of 'Digital Objects of Desire in the Metaverse' project funded by the Leverhulme Trust. The project focuses on online marketplaces for digital objects – exploring a wide variety of human-object relationships, analysing the blurred boundaries between legal and illegal activity, the market drivers, and the role AI plays in shaping human decision-making and in functioning of these online [market] spaces.
