Personal profile
Overview
Leading multiple projects to identify optimal pathways to achieve a net-zero electricity system, I explore innovative solutions for grid modernisation, flexibility, and resilience. My work focuses on enhancing power system stability amid the increasing integration of variable renewable energy sources. This involves analysing the impacts of inverter based resources on power grids and developing strategies to maintain grid reliability and stability.
In addition, I work on energy poverty prediction analysis, employing data-driven methodologies to identify and mitigate the factors contributing to energy poverty. My overarching goal is to advance a sustainable and equitable energy future by harmonising technological innovation with societal needs.
Research interests
My research interests include:
- Analysing the effects of IBR on power system dynamics and stability
Investigating the role of BESS, demand response, and synchronous condensers in supporting power systems on the path to net-zero emissions - Exploring the application and impact of grid-forming converters for enhancing grid stability and reliability
- Applying data-driven techniques to enhance power system analysis and operations
- Utilising data-driven approaches for energy poverty prediction and mitigation
