Personal profile

Overview

As a research associate at the University of Manchester, I specialise in the study of rotorcraft aerodynamics. My focus is mainly on the theoretical aspects of the aerodynamics of rotary-wing devices, with a keen interest in the fluid dynamics of rotor-wake systems. I have been employing vorticity-velocity methods to analyse the behaviour of wakes under various rotor-system configurations. At present, I am part of the Greener Aviation with Advanced Propulsion Systems (GAAPS) project, where I am responsible for modelling and simulating innovative propeller designs.
