Personal profile

Overview

I am an Honorary Research Fellow in the Department of History. My research interests are mainly focused on the twentieth century European history, post-socialist and transnational memory dynamics. My PhD was devoted to the material and symbolic legacies of socialism, explored through the study of the afterlives of the V.I.Lenin monument in post-Soviet Riga.

Since 2023, I am a co-convenor of the Study Group on the Baltic States within the British Association for Slavonic and East European Studies.

I also wear a hat of Conference Research Executive within the Manchester Convention Bureau, the official tourist board for Greater Manchester. The role of the Manchester Convention Bureau team is to support professional societies and local academics in hosting successful conferences in Manchester.
