Overview

Drew is an academic medical educator who delivers teaching and provides leadership to programmes within the School, including Medicine and Physician Associate Studies. He delivers core anatomy, physiology and basic clinical/practical skills teaching across a range of programmes and leads the Medical Education and CHSTM consortium of postgraduate programmes.

 

As Head of Admissions for our undergraduate Medicine (MB ChB) programme Drew coordinates marketing, open days, international recruitment and interviews for approximately 3400 applicants each year.

 

Drew’s teaching covers a wide range of subject material using a variety of delivery styles including workshops, practical classes, clinical skills and research project supervision in addition to being, PBL tutor, academic advisor and programme director.

 

Drew established one of the largest and most high performing Physician Associate programmes in the U.K. and he leads a team of academic and professional services staff who are responsible for delivery of teaching and assessment of a highly intensive programme of medical education that incorporates hundreds of academic contact hours and over 1600 hours of clinical placement time over a period of two years.
