Personal profile
Overview
Dukula is a Research Associate in inorganic and materials chemistry. He completed his Masters at The University of Manchester, where he undertook research placements with Prof. David Mills and Prof. Sihai Yang during his undergraduate studies. He completed his Master's with Dr. Imogen Riddell on Metal-Organic cages for catalysis. Following this, he received the University of Manchester Dean's Excellence Scholarship and joined Profs. Martin Schröder and Sihai Yang's group to conduct his PhD, working on porous materials for corrosive gas capture. During his studies, he received the University of Manchester Presidental Distinguished Achievement Award in 2021 and the Outstanding Achievement Award in 2025 by the Department of Chemistry, University of Manchester.
Research interests
My research focuses on the design, synthesis, and advanced characterisation of porous materials, including metal–organic frameworks (MOFs), zeolites, and hydrogen-bonded organic frameworks (HOFs), with an emphasis on understanding structure–property relationships and developing functional materials for energy and environmental applications.
