Overview

Eleanor Aspey is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Law. She joined the University of Manchester in 2013, having previously been a Lecturer in Law at Coventry University. She has an interest in curriculum design with a focus on enhancing the student experience, and was co-lead on the LLB curriculum review project from 2019-2022. She was awarded Senior Fellowship of the HEA in 2023.

Teaching

Eleanor is Course Unit Director for the undergraduate Law units European Union Law and Contemporary Issues in EU Law, and the undergraduate Politics unit Contemporary Issues in Politics and Law.

She has an interest in assessment and feedback and has been awarded funding for joint staff-student co-creation projects to review and develop student resources to support assessment and feedback literacy.

Research interests

Eleanor researches European Union Law, with a focus on the role of European Union Law in the UK post-Brexit.
