Emiel Jerphanion joined the Manchester Business School as a lecturer (assistant professor) in finance in September 2020. He has obtained a PhD in Finance from Tilburg University. His research received the best paper award on the EFA 2020 Annual Meeting and has appeared on the programmes of other leading conferences such as the SFS Calvalcade North America, Colorado Finance Summit, Adam Smith Workshop and the AEA Conference.
