Personal profile

Overview

I am currently a Research Associate on the #BeeWell programme and Data Manager for Wave 3 of the Education for Wellbeing programme. Prior to my current role, I completed my PhD at the University of Liverpool, which looked at socioeconomic inequalities in vocabulary and their implications for educational attainment and mental health in adolescence. I used two British birth cohort studies (the 1970 British Cohort Study and The Millennium Cohort Study) throughout my thesis, which sparked a passion for working with large datasets and data visualisation in R. Alongside my PhD, I worked on a Randomised Controlled Trial, in collaboration with the University of Sheffield and the BBC Education team, which investigates the effectiveness of BBC Education’s Tiny Happy People video resources.
