Dr. Evgeny Kushnerev, a highly qualified dentist who has embarked on an academic journey focused on cutting-edge research and advanced clinical practices. Passionate about pushing the boundaries of dental science, they pursued a Master’s degree and a PhD, specialising in bone regeneration utilising the power of stem cells.
Presently, Dr. Evgeny Kushnerev holds the esteemed position of Senior Clinical Lecturer in Oral Surgery, showcasing their proficiency and expertise in the field. They have successfully integrated their extensive knowledge into the realm of academia, mentoring and guiding aspiring young professionals in their pursuit of excellence. Additionally, Dr. Evgeny Kushnerev has taken on the role of Clinical Lead in Oral Surgery Department, shouldering the responsibility of overseeing its operations and ensuring the highest standards of patient care.
Dr. Evgeny Kushnerev’s research interest is predominantly focused on bone regeneration within craniofacial region. They are particularly fascinated by the potential of dental pulp stem cells in promoting bone regrowth and are actively exploring their application in conjunction with a variety of biomaterials. Dr Kushnerev’s work aims to uncover innovative approaches for improving the healing and reconstruction of the craniofacial structures, ultimately benefiting patients in need of dental and facial bone regeneration.

Being involved in different subjects such as biology, medicine and dentistry I have very much enjoying the broad spectrum of my teaching duties. Currently I am supervising several Masters and PhD students on Stem Cell Research, facilitating PBL sessions and responsible for clinical teaching for undergraduate and postgraduate dental students.
