Fanlin is a final-year PhD candidate at The University of Manchester, UK, specializing in rock mechanics and geosciences. His research integrates numerical modeling and laboratory experiments to examine how mineral veins and mineralized faults influence the dynamic response of fluid-driven ruptures, ranging from hydraulic fracture propagation to injection-induced fault slip.
Fanlin also serves as a graduate teaching assistant, supporting for undergraduate courses including Geotechnics 1-4, Materials 1, Design 3, Tools for Civil Engineers.
