Overview

Dr Fanlin Meng joined Alliance Manchester Business School as a Lecturer in Data Science from August 2022. He was Lecturer in Data Science with University of Essex between 2019 and 2022. He previously held several research positions in Cardiff (Engineering), Edinburgh (Mathematics), Durham (ECS) and Loughborough (AAE). He received his PhD in Computer Science from the University of Manchester in 2015.

His primary research interests include Energy Data Analytics, Energy Market with Demand Response and Renewable Energy Integration, Smart Energy and Mobility, Machine Learning, Game Theory and Optimisation. He is Fellow of British Computer Society (FBCS), member of EPSRC Peer Review College, and Senior Member of IEEE.
