Overview

Farisya is a Ph.D. student at The University of Manchester. She graduated with a master’s in project management from the University of Science, Malaysia. She earned a bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying and a diploma in geomatic science (remote sensing) from Universiti Technology Mara, Malaysia, both with upper second-class honors. She then expanded her knowledge and skills while working as a quantity surveyor at a consultant firm for a Malaysian construction company. Currently, her Ph.D. research involves the application of Immersive Technologies (ImT) in occupational safety and health (OSH) training in the construction industry, specifically demonstrating the applicability of the challengers and enablers concept throughout the ImT development process within the maturity model. Her subjects of interest include cost estimation, project management, occupational health and safety, geographic information systems, remote sensing, and building information modeling.
