Overview
Francesco Semeraro is Postdoctoral Research Associate of the Cognitive Robotics laboratory, part of the Machine Learning and Robotics research group at The University of Manchester (UoM), under the Horizon Europe MUSAE project (Ref. 101070421). He is also member of the Manchester Centre for Robotics and AI.
Francesco Semeraro was previously PhD Researcher under the same research group, and recipient of the DTP CASE-conversion "Human-Robot Collaboration for Flexible Manufacturing" (Ref. 2480772), sponsored by the UKRI Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC), in collaboration with BAE Systems plc.
Under the supervision of professor Angelo Cangelosi, Francesco Semeraro investigates solutions based on robotics and machine learning for non-dyadic human-robot collaboration. His research interests also involve robot learning.
