Overview
Gana Kusuma has been a PhD researcher at the Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research at the University of Manchester since September 2023. His PhD research examines the environmental sustainability and economic assessment of Indonesia’s electricity generation sector. By evaluating both environmental and economic aspects, his research aims to develop a more sustainable electricity generation mix.
Gana has worked at Indonesia’s state-owned electricity company, Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN), since 2017 and is currently on study leave. Prior to that, he worked as an assistant project manager and as a piping engineer. He holds an MSc in Project Management from the University of Birmingham and a BE in Metallurgy and Materials Engineering from the University of Indonesia. His PhD programme is funded by the Indonesia Endowment Fund for Education (LPDP) and Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN).
