Personal profile

Overview

My core research interests lie in the development of waste and bio-based materials for energy-efficient social housing and low-carbon concrete technologies. I focus on utilising sustainable cementitious alternatives, to reduce reliance on traditional cement and shrink the construction sector’s carbon footprint.

I am currently working on a UKRI and Carbon Neutral Cities Alliance (CNCA)-funded project in collaboration with the Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA). My research aims to develop bio-based and waste-derived materials for constructing energy-efficient social housing for low-income households across the UK.
