Personal profile

Overview

Assistant professor in Engineering Simulation & Data Science at the Modelling & Simulation Centre within the University of Manchester, UK. I am passionate about numerical simulation of complex flow physics (e.g., multiphase flow, boiling) with pressure-linked Navier-Stokes type models, coupled with advection diffusion equations, moving fluid interfaces and interfacial effects (surface tension, phase change). I am interested in “fundamental” aspects of the numerical methodology itself, broadly based on non-linear PDEs, in particular the development of robust and efficient solution algorithms that can be implemented in generally applicable numerical libraries, their use in industrially relevant test cases; and “applications” e.g., to the energy (nuclear) and propulsion sectors.
