Biography

Guilherme Fians is a Lecturer in Social Anthropology (Department of Social Anthropology, School of Social Sciences) and Research Development Officer (School of Arts, Languages and Cultures) at the University of Manchester. Guilherme holds a PhD in Social Anthropology from the University of Manchester and has previously held teaching and research positions at the universities of Copenhagen, Amsterdam, São Paulo, Brasília, Massachusetts Amherst, and St Andrews.

Research interests

Anthropological Theory; Digital Anthropology; Language Politics; Social Movements; Nationalism; Childhood and Youth; Western Europe and Latin America.
