Overview

I am a Lecturer in Public Law and Human Rights at the University of Manchester in the United Kingdom. My research focuses on liberty of conscience and religious freedom; constitutionalism and constitutional review; and the theoretical foundations of human rights.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts (majoring in Advanced Japanese Studies) and a Bachelor of Laws (with first class honours and the university medal) from the University of New South Wales, Australia, and a PhD in Law (passing without corrections and awarded a Yorke Prize) from the University of Cambridge, United Kingdom.
