Guy Finkill is a PhD Candidate in Environmental Engineering at the School of Mechanical, Aerospace and Civil Engineering (MACE) at the University of Manchester. His PhD is titled ‘Residual, recalcitrant, or inconvenient? An analysis of decarbonisation roadmaps of the hard-to-abate sectors with a North Sea coastline’.

Guy is a consultant researcher at UNCTAD, mapping finance flows and the use of bonds in the petrochemical industry. Guy has two years of research experience at Lund University’s Centre for Sustainability Studies (LUCSUS) and their department of Political Science (SVET). Guy also worked at Uppsala University’s Centre for Environment and Development Studies (CEMUS), coordinating three Bachelor-level courses.
