Overview

Hafiza Hifza Nawaz is a PhD researcher at The University of Manchester and her PhD project is sponsored by Global Challenges Research Fund. She is keen to purify contaminated water through membranes technology for sustainable and clean environment. She has a wealth of experience in hydrogels, formulations, membranes, materials synthesis, fibre spinning and waste water treatment. She has twelve research publications in high impact International journals and four research papers published in proceedings of International conferences. Recently, she has been awarded status of Fellow for Higher Education Academy. She has also won student grant from European Membrane Society to present her work at Nanofiltration 2022 and she also won award for best poster. She has also won travel grants from EDANA’s to present her work at Nonwoven Innovation Academy in 2019 and 2022. She also stood winner of the day at Academic Presentation Day 2021 of British Federation of Women Graduates (BFWG).
