Personal profile

Overview

Hafsteinn Einarsson is a postgraduate research student in Social Statistics at the University of Manchester. Prior to this he was a project manager in survey research at the Social Science Research Institute at the University of Iceland.

Research interests include nonresponse and data collection in surveys, particularly in mixed-mode surveys. Collecting representative data is a challenge in the current survey climate, which can be combated by introducing innovative data collection strategies. Reducing the burden of responding is one interesting facet of such strategies, while monitoring the allocation of resources and the composition of the responding sample is another.
