She has practised on the Northern Circuit, and is a co-editor of Clerk and Lindsell on Torts. She is course director for the LLB in Intellectual Property Law.

Research interests

Her research interests are in the common law, and intellectual property. She is particularly interested in the economic torts, the action for breach of commercial confidence and the development of a law to protect against unfair competition.

Current Research Projects:

Action for breach of confidence. An exploration of the development of this action and an attempt to explain it within the wider context of protection against unfair competition. (She completed an AHRC funded project in this area). Researching in depth the torts of conspiracy and malicious falsehood/passing off.
