I research on families, relationships and intimacies in a global perspective, looking at the intersections on class, gender, sexuality and race/ethnicity. Moreover, I research on the divisions of labour, the relationship between labour and work and the role of unpaid and paid work in society. I am a passionate and feminist educator dedicated to developing interdisciplinary knowledge for the next generation of professionals. I have worked with feminist academics, activists and NGO's to advocate social justice in the UK, The Americas, The Caribbean and West Africa.
