Investigating whether foetal hypoxia accelerates ageing related cardiac and skeletal muscle dysfunction using zebrafish and African Turquoise Killifish models. Examining hallmarks of ageing including telomere shortening, senescence, inflammation, autophagy, mitochondria dysfunction, and DNA damage. Evaluating antioxidant therapy as a potential intervention to understand underlying mechanisms.
