Personal profile

Overview

I am a first year PhD student at the National Centre for Text Mining (NaCTeM) in the Department of Computer Science under the supervision of Prof Sophia Ananiadou. I am broadly interested in knowledge extraction from scientific literature including relation extraction, event mining, and automatic knowledge base construction. More specifically, I am exploring ways to automatically extract context around scientific claims, both subjective (e.g. linguistic modality, hedging) and objective (e.g. statistical metrics such as p-values and statistical power).
