Personal profile

Overview

As part of User Support and Training for the UK Data service, I develop training to support researchers and teachers using data, especially the major repeated cross-sectional surveys. I am currently leading on our resources to support undergraduate social science teaching and also collaborating with other archives to deliver training through CESSDA (the Consortium of European Social Science Data Archives). I also teach on the Cathie Marsh Institute Introduction to Data Analysis course.

My main research interest is in welfare state politics, particularly changes in public perceptions, attitudes and political behaviour. My Phd examined how well voters represent different attitudes towards the welfare state.
