Overview

I am a Lecturer in Language Disorders in the School of Health Sciences

Research interests

My research interests are in the area of developmental language disorders. Particular areas of interest are:

  • The relationship between pragmatic language impairment/social communication disorder and specific language impairment
  • The contribution of underlying factors such as literacy and memory to the difficulties of children who have developmental language disorders
  • Development of reading comprehension in typically developing children and children who have developmental language disorders.

Member of the  Language Development and Disorders research group in the School of Psychological Sciences.
