Personal profile
Overview
PhD Candidate in Business & Management with a research focus on Innovation, Management & Policy.
My passion and commitment to small islands’ economic development and growth, like those of the Caribbean, have shaped my academic studies and guided my professional experience. In addition to having academic qualifications in Strategic Innovation Management and International Trade Policy, my work experience has mostly been in industry promoting firms’ development, competitiveness and innovation in the Caribbean. My research interest investigates key innovation frameworks in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and small island developing states (SIDS). My PhD research proposal introduced and briefly explored how the business model innovation (BMI) framework could be adapted by traditional resource-based businesses in the Caribbean to re-evaluate how they create and capture value, innovate and promote growth and development.
