Personal profile
Overview
I completed my PhD at the University of Manchester in 2022 and became a Lecturer in Modern and Contemporary Literature in 2023.
My research focusses on the writing of gender and sexuality (especially its queer forms) from 1890 to 1950. I have a particular interest in modernist literature, both in English and French, including the works of D.H. Lawrence, Virginia Woolf, Colette, and Rosamund Lehmann.
Among other things, I have taught on Shakespeare, postcolonial literatures, modernism, and twentieth-century American writing at UoM. In 2025-6, I am convening ENGL30001 The Long Essay and ENGL34122 Humans and Other Animals.
