Overview

I attained my BSc in Clinical Psychology in 2006, at the Instituto Superior de Psicologia Aplicada (ISPA) in Portugal. My thesis focused on autobiographical memories in individuals suffering from dysphoria and Major Depressive Disorder.

From 2007-2008 I worked as a research assistant for a national project in Portugal titled "Health and Psychological Wellbeing". 

From 2008-2011 I worked as a research assistant at UIPES (Portuguese Health and Psychology Research Unit, currently known as William James Center for Research, based at ISPA-IU University).

In 2017 I attained my PhD in Clinical Psychology at the University of Edinburgh following a fully funded scholarship by the Foundation for Science and Technology - Portugal, where my work focused on the topic of Mental Time Travel in individuals suffering from dysphoria and Major Depressive Disorder.

I started working at the Manchester Institute of Education in 2017 and have been a Research Associate since 2018. I have worked as the Data Manager for the Headstart project, led by the Anna Freud Centre and funded by the National Lottery Fund, and the Education for Wellbeing programme, led by the Anna Freud Centre and funded by the Department for Education. Currently I work as the Trial and Data Manager for the Passport to Success trial, led by Professors Neil Humphrey and Pamela Qualter, and funded by the Kavli Trust.

Research interests

My interests include but are not limited to: Mental health and wellbeing, Social and emotional learning, statistics in the context of social sciences, data visualisation, and research methodology.
