Jonathan Wood is a PhD candidate in Planning and Environmental Management at the University of Manchester, funded by the ESRC through the North West Social Science Doctoral Training Partnership. His research investigates the spatial distribution and resilience of on-licence alcohol venues, such as bars and restaurants, within urban and rural contexts. Jonathan's work integrates socio-economic, ethno-demographic, and urban economic factors to uncover the drivers behind venue location patterns and survival. He is supervised by Dr Sotirios Thanos and Prof. Anupam Nanda.
