Research interests

  • Cloud microphysics, with emphasis on the formation and development of ice, and its influence on the development of precipitation
  • In-situ instrumentation for the measurement of ice particles from aircraft, particularly using imaging techniques
  • Active remote sensing of clouds using ground/spaceborne Radar and Lidar
  • Impacts of aerosols on cloud properties via acting as Cloud Condensation Nuclei (CCN) and Ice Nuclei (IN)
  • Atmospheric aerosol composition
