Overview
Jonathan Styles is a Senior Lecturer in Enterprise at Manchester Enterprise Centre, The Alliance Business School, at The University of Manchester
He gained a BSc hons in Zoology from Aberdeen University followed by an MSc in Applied Entomology from Imperial College London. He spent 9 years in biological research at Imperial College where he became involved in a number of start-ups emerging from Imperials flourishing biological research. In 2004 he completed an MBA from the University of Gloucester specialising in Entrepreneurship after which he was invited to undertake a 2 year Enterprise Fellowship at Manchester Science Enterprise Centre (now known as Manchester Enterprise Centre), The University of Manchester before being made a Lecturer in Enterprise in 2006. In 2010 he was made Programme Director Master of Enterprise (MEnt) MECs flagship Masters programme. He has a wide range of teaching expertise in the fields of enterprise and entrepreneurship and has been instrumental in the creation and development of a wide range of enterprise units and modules which are taught across the whole of the University at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
