Personal profile

Overview

I am a Registered Childrens Nurse and have worked at the Christie Hospital since qualifying caring for Teenagers and Young Adults with a cancer diagnosis. My latest role as Community Liaison Team Leader supported TYA's and their families from diagnosis throughout treatment.
I completed an MRes and my research examined the needs of bereaved parents. This research allowed me to examine and develop the support provided by the treatment centre.
The MRes gave me a passion to continue to develop my research skills and I am now embarking on a PhD which is focussed on personalising TYA follow up after treatment of cancer using ePROMs.
