I am an Honorary Research Fellow in the Faculty of Humanities. I research, publish and present on Equality, Diversity and Inclusion in Higher Education and Research as well as Digital Social Media.
I am a Co-Founder and Director of the Charity and professional Network 'Women in Academia Support Network' (WIASN). WIASN is an intersectional forum of over 12k global academics from PhD to Vice Chancelor. We operate a digital social learning model which includes over 250 resources oncareers, equality and diversity, Oversight of 20 Special Interest Groups ran by over 40 Academics as Digital Community Managers. I am the current secretary and a streering group member of NADSN. The National Association of Disabled Staff Networks. NADSN has membership form over 60 UK Universities. NADSN influences national policy and practice.
I am a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA) and use my work at WIASN and University of Manchester to support a widening participation agenda for academics.
In 2015, UN member states agreed to 17 global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure prosperity for all. This person’s work contributes towards the following SDG(s):
